Coating Systems: Kluber Lubrication

Kluber Lubrication logo small

Kluber has been recognized more often perhaps, in the market of greases and oils but is definitely expanding its corporate presence in the field of fluoropolymer and MOS2 functional coatings. At Coating Systems, we really enjoy the new options that Kluber provides and so do our customers. Our Kluber products at Coating Systems have coatings for all substrates and the applications are endless: Axles, Springs, Pistons, Bolts, Chain Pins, Rubber Seals, Sealing Rings, Links, Rubber Gaskets, Sliding Guides, Clamps, Pins, Guide Axles, Armatures, Valves, Guide Tubes, Camshafts, and Shafts.

At Coating Systems, we inventory most of the following Kluber coatings:

Specifications:
Klubertop TP 03-111
Product Description:
Klübertop TP 03-111 is a thermosetting, black bonded coating with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) base and an organic binding agent. Klübertop TP 03-111 is a fluid, ready-to-use product containing an inflammable mixture of solvents (previously A II group). Once applied and hardened, this coating has a low friction coefficient, shows no stick-slip at low speeds, has a long service life, is very resistant to wear, chemicals and oils, and shows excellent anticorrosion properties.
Benefits for your application
Cost savings due to lifetime lubrication and anticorrosive effect

  • Effective wear protection at oscillating motion
  • No Re-lubrication required
  • Effective combination of anticorrosive effect and reduced friction

Cost savings during processing

  • Cost-efficient mass coating of small parts
  • Reduction of worksteps due to good wetting, good surface covering
  • Low volumes due to high yield

Higher component performance

  • Due to very low friction coefficient
  • Impedes tribo-corrosion
  • Excellent resistance to chemicals and oils

Unimoly C 220 (air dry), High Load
Product description
UNIMOLY C 220 is a hygro-setting grey bonded coating with a MoS2 base (molybdenum disulfide) and an inorganic binding agent. UNIMOLY C 220 is a fluid, ready-to-use product containing a mixture of flammable solvents. Once applied and hardened, the bondec coating is very resistant to pressure and has a wide temperature range. Owing to its structure, UNIMOLY C 220 is particularly suitable for high-vacuum applications. Adhesion is very good on special steel, metal and electroplated surfaces.

Benefits for your application

  • Hygrosetting at room temperature
  • Suitable for high pressures
  • Resistant to low and high temperatures
  • Suitable for vacuum applications
  • Excellent adhesion on metals
  • Suitable for materials susceptible to cold welding, e.g. special steel nuts and bolts
  • Well-proven as an assembly aid
  • Improves the running-in process
  • Prevents stick-slip

Klubertop ™ 06–111
Product description
Klübertop TM 06-111 is a thermosetting, grey-black bonded coating based on molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) and an organic binding agent. Klübertop TM 06-111 is a fluid, ready-to-use product containing a flammable mixture of solvents (previously VbF AII group).
Benefits for your application

  • Cost savings due to wear and corrosion protection also under high loads
  • Long component life due to good surface smoothening at high loads
  • Highly resistant at high loads in combination with corrosive influences
  • Low friction coefficients at high loads
  • Clean and dry surfaces with lubricating effect
  • No contamination by fluid lubricant
  • No sticking of lubricated components during automated assembly
  • Lubricant firmly incorporated, no risk of lubrication starvation in the friction point

Klubertop TP 15–810
Product description
Klübertop TP 15-810 is a black air-drying bonded coating based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and an organic water-miscible binder. Klübertop TP 15-810 is a fluid, ready-to-use and non-flammable product. Once applied and hardened, this bonded coating dries rapidly and ensures good resistance to wear and chemicals, a low friction coefficient, no stick-slip at low speeds and good corrosion protection on phosphated surfaces. Its resistance to oils and greases is good.

Benefits for your application

Clean, dry wear protection

  • Lifetime wear protection firmly ‘rooted’ in the surface
  • No contamination by fluid lubricant
  • No sticking during automated assembly

Lower costs and less space required during processing

  • Klübertop TP 15-810 is water-miscible and requires no VOC filter system
  • Cost-efficient mass coating of small parts
  • Fast air-drying – no heat setting required

Higher component performance

  • Very low friction coefficient
  • No stick-slip
  • Delayed tribocorrosion
  • Good corrosion protection on phosphatized substrates
